Welcome: Why We’re Here
IN THIS LESSON
Whether you’re here because of a shifting relationship with your body or a growing discomfort with the shame you’ve been carrying — you’re in the right place.
This course is for anyone who has ever felt the pressure to stay quiet, be small, or hide. It’s for people navigating the layered challenges of menopause, perimenopause, breast cancer recovery, gender-affirming hormone therapy, or simply existing in a body that doesn’t fit cultural ideals. It’s for anyone who’s been told — directly or silently — that their worth, desire, voice, or aging body is something to manage, mute, or apologize for.
Shame is a powerful force.
As researcher Brené Brown writes, shame is the intensely painful feeling that we are unworthy of love and belonging. And it doesn’t come from nowhere — it’s taught. By systems that benefit from telling you what makes you “good,” “valuable,” or “normal.”
Shame was given to you and it can be unlearned.
Throughout this course, we’ll explore what shame is, how it embeds itself in your thoughts and body, and — most importantly — how to release it. We’ll look at:
the fear of taking up space,
shame around your body and its changes,
and the reclamation of your right to pleasure, visibility, and self-definition.
The goal of this course isn’t to turn you into someone new, but to help you return to yourself with less fear, more gentleness, and a lot more freedom.
What to Expect
This course will combine:
